Question

why halogens are the most electronegative element in the periodic table

1 Answer

  • Answer:

Electronegativity is the tendency of an atom to attract a shared pair of electrons towards itself.

Electronegativity increases from left to right in a periodic table and from bottom to top in the periodic table.

So halogens are the most electronegative of all elements.Noble elements hardly show any such character.

    Hope so it will help:))
